Creating mood boards and sketching designs.
Understanding color theory and selecting gemstones
3.Metalworking Basics
Introduction to metals used in jewelry making (silver, gold, brass, etc)
Techniques: cutting, shaping, and soldering
Safety tips and best Practices
4. Beadwork and Embroidery
Different types of beads and their uses
Techniques for bead weaving and bead embroidery
Creating intricate patterns and designs
EXHIBITION
Exhibitors will be able to showcase their products for three days in a row. Gemstones and jewellery from Nigeria and other mining jurisdictions will be showcased.
JEWELRY FASHION SHOW
Women In Mining has partnered with top Fashion houses and Nigerian Musicians, to showcase the solid minerals and beautiful coloured stones in Africa. The gala night will showcase African fashion, talent and skill with participants from all over Africa. The winner of the WIM Lagos Gold and Gemstone Jewelry Competition 2023 will be announced
